Located in the Puget Sound area of Washington between Renton and Kent, Boulevard Lane is a quiet suburban neighborhood. The land is bordered on the west by Meeker Junior High school, a quiet county park, and the Soos Creek wetlands. Fox Estates, a small neighborhood incorporated into the Lane, lies to the north. Our neighboring community Forest Estates stretches across our east border. To the south is our entryway and exit to 192nd street, and the Fairwood Assembly of God. The Kent School District covers our area, providing our children with Carriage Crest Elementary or Ridgewood Elementary, Meeker Junior High, and Kentridge High School.

The Boulevard Lane Community Association (BLCA) is a homeowners association supported by voluntary annual dues and the time and energy of volunteers. Many programs run throughout the year, including an annual garage sale, spring egg hunt, neighborhood cleanup, and others.

The Boulevard Lane web site has been in operation since 1999. Hosting for this site is provided by iPowerweb, and paid by the BLCA. The site is maintained by DigitalGadget, a young adult who grew up in the Lane. We make every attempt to provide simple page structure that is accessible on every browser, screen size, modem speed, and operating system. The pages are written in HTML with PHP, a server-side scripting language that specializes in database manipulation. A CSS stylesheet written by Gadget is used to keep the pages looking nice and uniform. The members-only section is protected by a PHP authorization script written by Steven Smith that accesses usernames and passwords from an SQL database.
