Head on over to our neighborhood county park. The sign has been updated, but the trail access is still in progress. You'll need to walk through the playground area to Meeker and through to 192nd. |

After crossing at the light, you'll see the temporary sign marking the entrance to the trail. |

There is a "cowgate" blocking the path from motor vehicles. In this picture you can see the elevated structure of the path. This avoids damage to the wetlands by making only a small footprint on the earth below. |
The power lines follow you along much of the trail - without the lines, the wetlands may not have been as well protected during this area's growth. |
At several places along the trail, county utility roads cross. This one has become a handy place for residents of this neighboring community to enter the park. There's a pedestrian gate now attached to the fence. |
Here is the other end of that driveway - perhaps a pumping station? Regardless, King County wants you to Keep Out. |
Farther along, a sign heeds you to resist temptation and ignore the wide driveway curving off onto the bushes. |
In case you were curious, there really isn't much here but access to 201st. |
Stay on the trail and you'll enjoy beautiful views of the local flora and fauna. There are some lovely shady places that make this easy stroll feel like a hike in the mountains without the incline. |
Unfortunately the county cut a little too close to some people's backyards. Hopefully the bushes will grow in nice and tall. Meanwhile they have to pipe water to their new plants with white PVC. |
Towards the end of the trail we uncover the remains of long ago logging: nurse logs growing new evergreens. We also uncover a long-forgotten treehouse. |
Another county drive that goes who-knows-where. |
